Beretta 92FS meets Geco 124gr
« on: November 21, 2019, 07:09:11 PM »
Perfect day at the range, sunny, 42F.

Testing Geco 124gr (white box/made in Hungary) with Beretta 92FS, 7 yards.
Amazing ammo out of box, here are my warm-up groups. I was wearing Mechanic gloves, cause was a little cold to me.

3" target

4" target

And extended mag release is incredibly convenient, I almost didn't change my grip to change mags.

Good Shooting!  8)  Nice to know that this ammunition will perform!  :)

I've always preferred the 124 grain Bullet weight in the 9x19mm!  :)

Thank you! S&B 124gr is my #1 choice. From today Geco will be #2. And #3 probably Blazer Brass 124gr or 115gr (very clean brass and decent accuracy).

I agree with you S&B 124 grs is more consistent than ordinary geco 124grs. I find the geco hexagon more accurate than the ordinary one, however it's 40%  more expensive. I am wondering if testing ammo at distances below 20 meters can show you the real difference in conistency. At 7 yards it's difficult.

This Geco is a bit different. According to timestamp (-R) it is from Ruag factory. I had S@B 124gr Ruag before, so this ammo looks very similar. Both were packed in white boxes and bought from SGAMMO. Both have surprisingly light recoil and shoot very accurately.

Now, the last thing - both cases have very tight flash hole, so when I deprime then with manual tool, they got stuck pretty often. That's the only concern I have about it.
