New P-07
« on: November 23, 2019, 09:14:55 AM »
Just picked up my new OD P-07 last night. Gonna take it along with my 75 compact to the range this morning. I noticed the rear sight on the P-07 is drifted to the left some, maybe they actually do sight these in from the factory. No test target included with the pistol.

They do test them before shipping, so that's why it's drifted.
No test targets from CZ anymore.... :(

Congratulations, and welcome aboard if I haven't greeted you before !
The Wife's got an OD P07, and absolutely loves it !  My black's a bit older, and any comparison ends there. Mine required many hours of polishing and TLC, and still can't match hers for "smoothness" of operation. The wife's approaching 3K rounds through hers with 2 malfunctions, and I'm close to 5K with 1 hiccup through mine. All three were in one box of ammo (labeled Field & Stream from Dick's).
Everyone unfamiliar with CZs that have tried ours are now "believers" ! Even her brother (who's been "Glocknotized") left the range well impressed. Now I'm considering a P01 Omega as companion for the 07. Maybe Santa will be kind to an Old Geezer this year !  LOL
"Let there be light"  and there was muzzle flash !

Interesting to hear you say that. I previously owned a standard black P-07 that was insanely gritty with a pretty terrible trigger out of the box. I installed a variety of CGW parts and did the whole strip and polish routine, which made it go from 'terrible' to 'acceptable.' But it was never close to the excellent triggers on my other pistols. I ended up selling it off.

And then, for a variety of reasons, I decided to try another one this year and ended up getting the OD version. It had a MUCH better trigger out of the box. I installed the CGW spring kit and did some polishing and now it was quite good with a fairly crisp trigger. Night and day from the P-07 I previously owned.

I to was curious about how the trigger was going to be. I would say it's acceptable as it is now, but will probably get some future work done to it.

Last time I took my P07 and P01 to the range I did much better with the P07 as well. Just something about it.

Today I think I'll make it a plastic day at the range. I'll throw in a few Glocks to run with the P-07

Polymer makes difference. I don't know why but polymer pistols (Blocks excluded  O0) shoot more accurate right away. I didn't have any problems shooting 2" circle from 30 ft with Walther PPQ, but needed extra 2 weeks of practice with CZ-P-01  :o

OK now this P-07 is ready. Safety installed and cocked and locked.
Super quick swap from de-cocker to safety.

I forgot to check trigger pull with de-cocker, but here is a 10 pull average with safety installed.
