Barrel Nut/muzzle break issue
« on: November 24, 2019, 01:41:58 PM »
Question for a friend. Switched stock hand guard to Midwest industries. Removed barrel nut and stock birdcage muzzle break. Is the barrel nut supposed to go back on? It feels like there’s nothing stopping it and just keeps threading down until it threads through and spins without resistance. If it’s just the muzzle break on, it seems like there’s a lot of threading exposed. Is this normal? Can it run with just the MB on? Ultimately would like a 1/2-28 adapter, but same questions...is the barrel nut needed? And is it a problem if the threading is exposed. Tried to post pictures but can’t figure it out.

Thanks for your help!

No you don’t need the barrel nut.

It’s the same process as the HB industries
