712 magazine tube only loads one round

I bought a 712 a year ago and shot it one time at the trap range. I only loaded one in the magazine at that time. This year I took it out squirrel hunting and noticed I can only load one round in the magazine. The plug is removed. I can depress the follower with a cleaning rod all the way but when I put one shell in the magazine and try to put in a second there is a hard stop as soon as it begins to travel back. I’ve tried several different shells. I’ve taken it apart and can’t find the problem. Has anyone had this problem?

Given what you've already done, I think I'd give CZ-USA's customer service area a call.  They may just ship you a new magazine.

Try switching the mag spring end for end. Sounds like it may be binding or the follower is canting and jamming in the tube..

Just in case anyone finds this thread I did solve the problem. The receiver hole was too small where the magazine tube connects. Some work with a dremmel fixed the problems and it now runs smooth.
