New 97BD grip options
« on: December 08, 2019, 09:32:23 AM »
I’m late to the thread, but I believe it is a Torx T-20 (size).

I’m looking at grip options. I really  like the look of the black AL grips it comes with, makes it a piece of art!

But I want a little thicker grips. Have looked at several, Cool Hand, LOK, CZ-USA - Honeycombs + Ovals. I saw some nice wooden grips that are handmade, in Hungary I think. Anyone have any other options, know a company hat stocks grips for the CZ 97 or has them on the list to make custom?

VZ grips. None better. Just looked and they have both standard and with palmswells. They are G10's.

I just received my new CZ 97 BD and ordered LOK Grips. I have VZ Grips on my compact, but the LOK grips looked awesome.

I ordered CoolHand grips for my S2 through Amazn, like them a lot, but may surface them a bit with ultra-fine paper, or just use them and wear them in a bit - they have a very sharp grip.

I ordered walnut grips through eBa y, not sure of their origin, but I really like the look. If I ever wear out these, will look at LOKs

I went with the CZ rubber grips on mine. They are cheep and thick.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I like those rubber grips.  Any chance you could post a picture showing the backstrap so we could see the width? :)

I do not have a picture from the rear of the grip handy but i do have the dimentions.

CZ97B/BD

(Rubber grips) Width 1.270, (Factory Aluminum thin grips) Width 1.132

Here is a picture from the bottem. This compares the CZ97 with rubber grips to an SP-01 with factory rubber grips.

I prefer the rubber grips over the thin grips. I don’t have big hands either, wear a size large glove.......barely.

I have VZ grips on my 75b and LOKs on my P-01.  I think I have VZs on my SP-01 but don’t feel like opening up my safe to double check right now :)

The issue is the thickness but I forgot LOK has different thicknesses available so I’ll look at that

Which thin grips are you comparing to?

I've got Lok palm swells on my 97. I also have a set of oem rubber grips I've tried. I'd be happy to take pix of the back strap with both sets of grips installed so you can compare. I prefer the Lok grips. Thought I'd like the rubber grips more than I do. Go figure.

That would be helpful!
