loctite reduced reach
« on: December 18, 2019, 09:59:22 AM »
Is the use of loctite on the reach reduction set screws a necessity?

Does anyone ignore the loctite and simply reset the screws when and if needed.

Anything that I want to remain secure gets the loctite. Do you want to chance that the need for readjustment will show up in a situation where you really need the gun to work properly?

Absolutely required. Make sure the threads are thoroughly clean and use the correct loctite or they will come loose at an inopportune time.

Thank you both very much.

CWG installed the reach reduction on two (2) of my CZ's.  They did not use loctite on either gun.

They were helpful in providing me directions to remove and reset the screws, but (perhaps I am foolish)I have been hesitating to mess with them.

Ok, I will build up my nerve and take a crack at it.

Thanks again.  I am sure you are right!!!
