CGW is a Great Company
« on: December 22, 2019, 10:13:06 AM »
I called there to order a safety blocker and spring for my P07 and I also needed a left side decocker since the lever was broke by the previous owner during incorrect disassembly with a screwdriver and then crazy glued and sold to me like that. They transferred me to a gunsmith who researched and called me back and long story short was out of the lefty side lever but I still bought the spring kit of course. Level of service and diligence was excellent and I will recommend this company to anyone. When I'm ready to do a spring kit I'll use theirs.

I'll have to agree. When the topic of third party shops come up, there are really only two choices. Cajun and CZ Customs. Since CZ Customs is a little, uh, proud of their prices I generally stick with Cajun. Scott Milam and his crew are fast, extremely well versed in the technical details, and they stand behind their products.

As an example I got their ez drift sight set right when they became available. The design had a major flaw with how the rear sight was supported. I broke two of them and they were replaced free of charge. They re-engineered the part and sent me that one for free as well and it has held up for years. They also pick up the phone and don't mind answering questions before you buy even if it's one little cheap part. So the two criteria I measure them by, standing behind what they sell and making themselves available to answer questions, they pass with flying colors. If and when I decide to get into carry optics with the shadow 2 I already know who will be performing the work.

Fully agree with the statement.
CGW has been always responding for every email or phone calls. If their gunsmith is currently busy, he always returns the call.
I've been using CGW parts and knowledge and no doubt, I'll be doing this in the future.

I’ve found them to be beyond superlative. I need to arrange a visit.

Awesome people and awesome products (and work!).

Merry Christmas, all!

Last year I was converting a SP01 to single action with Cajun parts and I had a question on the trigger reset so I gave them a call . My cell phone rang 2 or 3 times and then dropped the call ( not uncommon ) . About a minute later my phone rang and it was Cajun calling me back ! Now when I called first I never connected , just a couple of rings. And Cajun called back from that . I'll be a customer for life .

I normally don’t post on forums but feel like I need to say something in regard to CGW. I’ve been trying to get a new set of sights for my 75B that my old eyes can see. After calls and emails to CZ Custom with NO reply, I contacted CGW and sent them my slide. The information they provided was slide work would be a 4 week turnaround.
My slide was mailed 1/3 and I received an email 1/6 saying they had received it. Toady on 1/7 I get another email from Thomas at CGW stating the work was complete and my slide would be sent back to me by 1/8. I couldn’t believe it.....needless to say they have a customer for life. My next purchase will be a complete PO1 Omega with all the bells and whistles. In todays world service is seldom found at this level......I couldn’t be happier. My hat is off to CGW and their staff :)

CGW is an awesome company to deal with. The gunsmiths get right on the phone and answer any questions you might have. If your not sure which parts to order or you need help with installation they’ll help you no questions asked.

They're great!

I just wish they'd sell like a lifter spring subscription service. You know, like, you pay them $10/mo, and every week they ship you a handful of lifter springs to replace the ones you've probably lost in the last week  ;D

Another praise for CGW. I have installed their kits in 3 of my CZs and could not be happier with the results. On my first installation, It took several calls to CGW to order and install their defensive carry package for my P-01. They helped me every step of the way.

I am another big fan of CGW.  I have ordered spring kits, firing pins, trigger kits etc and have always been very happy with shipping speed.  The quality of the products is great.   But what I have been impressed with more was the speed of answering my questions.  I can think of two occasions I emailed questions and received an answer in an hour or two.  That shines to me!

shmecky sent me $200 worth of parts once that i never ordered! i called him up and come to find out another customer has the same name i do but lived in minnesota and not in wisconsin where i was living. David asked for me to ship them back and after finding they had to go north of me to the rightful purchaser it didn't make sense to me! i got the address and mailed the parts north to where they were purchased. never thought once about doing it either. David had helped me many a time on the phone with little stuff. was the right thing to do in my book!
