LPA-TRT Sight Questions
« on: December 22, 2019, 09:42:16 PM »
I have been thinking about sending in the slide of my P-09 to have the LPA-TRT adjustable sight installed and I have a few questions:

1) What is the correct front sight height to go with this rear?  I want to swap the front to a Patridge style anyway but I don't know what size to get.

2) Does the slide have to be refinished after it's been milled?

3) Is it possible to mount the sight further back so it overhangs the rear of the slide a bit?  I would be using this on a bullseye match pistol so maximizing sight radius is a high priority.  Having just enough space to manually cock the hammer would be fine.

I had CGW install that rear sight on my 97BE and my 75B when they built the guns for me.  I let David choose the height of the front sight, but think the factory height will work.  Mine are black posts now.  I do not think the slide was refinished, nothing is exposed from the cut.  Interference of the hammer will control the location.  Let CGW know your concerns and they will take care of you.
