Went to the range this weekend and shot on of my 1938 Turkish Mausers in 8x57 German Mauser. A local gun shop that I trust had Yugoslavian Military Surplus in boxes of 15 for $3.99 and Wolf in boxes of 20 for $6.99   I got two boxes of both.  The Wolf performed flawlessly , while the Yugo resulted in 4 duds which were hit numerous times by the firing pin to no avail.
Since it was 4,  I am not going to bitch to the gun shop that I like,  they are good folks, and he did warn me by saying that the wolf is much better, but I went to try both out.  In the long run, the Yugo was ok, but it may have just been a bad batch out of that box.  I thought I would provide a comparison for those who care.
The Turkish Mauser is in flawless shape and the bolt mechanism and the bore are well oiled and lubricated and cleaned and dried often and in great working order.  Sometimes one takes a gamble in military surplus, but I have not had any problems with 7.62x25 for my CZ52 or with 7.62x54 for the Mosin Nagant.
In the future , I will also provide the German Mausers and their deriviatives with PMC.  I am hearing good things about their ammo.
