Has anyone tried this instead of the safety delete?

I did the Mini AK Style Safety Selector from HB Industries.  Similar principle.  Love it.  Definitely worth it, very intuitive to operate.

Same here, of all my rifles it's the most intuitive safety to use.

I also have the mini AK selector and love it but I feel I would've been happier with their standard sized AK selector. Also keep in mind the Magpul grip moves your finger out of the way from the standard selector but it doesn't make it any easier to operate.

I wish I would have gotten the bigger ak selector. I just put on the smaller one from hbi. If anyone wants to trade let me know.

I have one and love it, I wish they made a lever for the left side to match.

It's not supposed to match on the left side.  The whole concept is that because your fingers are stronger pushing down than up, you reverse one side.  So you push down with your index finger on the right side to engage the safety, and push down with your thumb on the left to disengage.

I run them on both of my Scorpions. I really like the way they function.

I understand this, but for my left handed housemates it would be nice for the safety to be the same. Also it would just look better. Personally I love the fact that I know it is in safe as my trigger finger hits the bar when down, I do not care if the movement is the same. I guess it is the reason so many options are sold.

I have the Mini AK Style on both of my Scorpions. Couldn’t ask for a better aftermarket option.
