How old?
« on: January 24, 2020, 05:29:27 PM »
I’ve got a line on a RAMI decocker.   Per the owner, he doesn’t see a “year” on the piece, only the SN.   SN is B27XXXX.    Any idea how old this on is?   My ‘19 RAMI is #C9XXXXX.    Going to try to drive over (couple hours each way) to see it this weekend, but would like an idea on age of piece.  Thanks

The year of manufacture is stamped on the slide before the proof stamp.  It is a two digit number., and in this case it is 15 (2015) See the pic that is attached.

Good luck!

Thanks, I know everyone I’ve seen had a number, but the guy I talked to about this one said he didn’t see any.  I note on the one you showed with a 15 date and a # far high than the used one I’m going to see.  At least I’m getting a idea how old it is😏

I don't know if it helps, but mine is '12 manufactured, and starts with "B16"

timetofly is right. "15" mark is the production year.

The seller told the OP there is no production year stamp.

I've never seen that before, but when he gets a look at it, I guess he'll know.

All my others have a date stamped on them.   This one is located 150 miles from me and I’ve not seen it, but owner claims “no date” and the (poor quality) picture doesn’t show one😳, hence the original question.   I think I’m gonna pass on this one.,,

Early version slides have the date stamp above the extractor, not by the SN (though I thought that predated any B.... serial numbers).  My ‘04 RAMI’s SN starts with A029xxx and my ‘18 RAMI is C588xxx.
