Manticore Arms Mags
« on: February 27, 2020, 09:55:30 PM »
Any issues with Manticore Arms 32rd magazines? I can get 3 for $30 from a guy at work. Otherwise I'm going to get a couple magpul magazines.

Don't overlook the Palmetto State Armory AK-V 35rd mags. Molded in steel mag lips, multiple colors and super price ($13.99). Downside, they may require the front "pad" to be sanded/fitted to your firearm.

Exactly, I sold ALL my manticores and went PSA exclusively.

Smoked clear Manticore mags at Prepper Gun Shop are $14.99 and you don't have to  "modify" them in any way. I've tried Magpul mags and they are flawless as well.

I'm still trying to diagnose the problem, but one of my two Manticore mags will not hold bolt open on last round. My other three magazines are first generation versions that work fine.  Other than the one anomaly the Manticore mag's run fine for me.

Interesting reads on manticores

Both of these post have are a year or more old, does Manticore have different generations, or have they stuck with the exact same mag/design from day one? I'm just asking as a new guy to this platform, and looking at ordering some mags. Thank you.

Don't know for sure if manticore fixed the 2 biggest issues (feed problems without internal lubrication and loose metal feedlips) with the mags.

I would surmise nothing design wise has changed.

They function fine for me.  But I won't buy anymore of them.  The metal feed lips are real sharp and hard on your fingers when loading.  PSA, Magpul, and CZ black window mags don't have that problem.  I would buy any of those 3 over the manticore.

Feedlip issue with manticores.

And a couple more reviews referencing manticores and magpuls
