Love my little RAMI, but I also didn't like the stock Mepro's. Tried the Big Dot's and as much as I liked the Big front dot, I just couldn't get used to the "I" rear sight. I made a set of custom rear sights by modifying a set of big and bright CZ suppressor-ready rear sights from a SR P-09. Those worked pretty good, but I had an extra RMR kicking around and saw a video of CGW milling a RAMI for an RMR..........That was it!!
Sent it to CGW for milling and a tall BUIS and so glad I did!
With the RMR that little RAMI shoots so accurately like a much longer sight radius pistol.

Looks great and I am sure that it almost feels like, heck it actually is, cheating!  ;D

I'm older (56) and eyesights are not what they used to be but the Meprolite TruDot tritium serves me better much, much more than the OE's on my P-01. I also have to agree with you that I have never had anything with a rear-sight shaped like an I.

HaHa. That RMR does feel a bit like cheating.
Well, 'ol guys like me gotta have some kinda edge. LOL
Here's some images of my Big Dot front with 'customized' P-09/07 SR tritium rear that fit the RAMI dovetail perfectly, but I had to file the notch a bit wider and lower to match the Big Dot and POI.

Well Vinny, you have at least inspired me to look into an RMR option for my lil RAMI fella! I have ZERO experience with installing sights / optics so it will have to be a job which I commission to an outside smith. I am not planning on doing both though, i.e, upgraded sights AND optics. Suggestions?

I would encourage you to contact the good folks at CGW who did an exceptional job on my RAMI/RMR. They are well experienced with milling a RAMI for a Red Dot and can give you several options. They are also the only one I could find that understood the RAMI's mill-cut needs to have at least a 2 degree forward tilt so the optic will zero properly (look at how much taller your rear sight is compared to front). You might also want to check out the new Holosun 407K mini-micro RDS. I've had one on order from Optics Planet for my P-01. Hope to see it soon.  -Vinny

is the Light one of the preferred lights for these or are there other options that fit this little thing just as well?

Another vote of confidence. And I haven't fired mine. Just got it hours ago.
I am also traditional (safety, not de-cocker), and own a Beretta, All the same reasons as you.
I've been running thru the book taking this thing apart and she is sweet.

Went full on CGW pro parts, thicker trigger and race hammer on my RAMI which I just picked up today alongside with my P-01 (both completed by HoneyBadgersGuns here in San Diego). Polished internals and the whole bowl of wax and my gosh, what a difference now. Oh my, my, my! I was thinking that with the amount of money which I was sinking onto these 2 CZs, I could've easily bought a couple of $1K+ Sigs but now that I have the end results back, no sloppiness, no grittiness and none of that other stuff which we poo-poo at, I am glad that I got these instead and went through the experiences because they just fit me better than the Sigs :)

Also added the tritium night-sights to the RAMI:

- CZ 75 P-01
- CZ RAMI
