Sp-01 hammer not engaging.
« on: March 15, 2020, 03:35:57 PM »
Hello everyone, I've just finished installing the pro package on my sp-01, but now the trigger isn't engaging the hammer correctly, and the hammer won't lock up. I really have no idea what's wrong, hopefully, the videos can give you an idea of what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you checked sear spring?
I've got similar issue replacing few parts and found sear jammed somehow... >:( I put back factory spring and all problems had gone.

Indeed, the sear should be moving. It seams to be stuck in place. I think i might pull the sear cage and disassemble it. While doing so i would look for what was jamming the sear up.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

In double action the disconnector should be making squared up contact with the trigger bar.

It doesn't look like it is, or your gun is not resetting.

If you let the trigger out does the gun reset? What if you reach in and pull the trigger bar upwards, will it reset?

After reset does the hammer work properly?

If that's the symptom then you may just need to adjust the placement of the trigger bar support spring under the trigger bar. Look from the bottom of the gun upwards and you will see the channels that the spring is supposed to ride in.

My guess is 2 areas
1. Check for reset by looking at the trigger bar support spring
2. Look at the graphic. You may need to remove a tiny amount of material on the disconnector. I would call Cajun before you do so they can run you through some diagnostics and rule out everything else first.

Or you didn't assemble your sear cage correctly with the sear spring in the correct orientation. I don't know how you could have done that wrong but maybe that'd a possibility.

Is the safety arm on the adjustable sear dropping down with the safety off? It looks like the arm (where the set screw is located) is being held up by the tab on the safety shaft. This prevents the sear from engaging at full cock. Hard to tell from the video.

I think this is the case after looking at the second video.  The short leg of the sear spring needs to be up pushing the sear down and to the rear of the gun.  When putting the cage together the sear spring should be put in from the top such that the long leg fits in the groove (that holds the safety lever) and the short leg presses against the top rear of the sear.  I don't see the short leg and it must be under the sear pushing it upward and that must be why the hammer will not cock during the DA trigger pull or in general isn't moving.

I don't have a safety model sear cage video but the decocker model is similar (it just has more parts in it).  In this video you can see how the sear spring gets installed from the top (I wish I had better lighting!).
