New CZ Compact
« on: March 20, 2020, 05:11:42 PM »
I have been in the market for a CZ Compact for some time.  I thought it would be just the ticket for IDPA CCP class.  I finally decided to get one from Kentucky Gun Company a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. I received it last week.  It has a date date of 1920, a black barrel/trigger, and had two 15 round magazines with the blue follower.  No test target was included.  I ran about 100 rounds of FMJs through it and decided to take it to a match on Saturday.  I ended up winning the match.

I was able to put the upper on my CZ 75 Stainless which has been converted to SAO by CZ Custom.  Also, the frame also fits my Kadet II upper.  The upper and lower also fit on my CZC Compact L.

I thought about upgrading it, but I like the sights and factory grips just fine.  I’ll probably just keep it stock.  It is a little heavy, but works well in my IWB holster.

I’m a happy camper.

Awesome! Definitely a good choice for shooting IDPA. I wish it had had my CZ’s back when I was shooting IDPA :)

Congratulations on your birthday present.  You deserved it.  It's nice to have flexibility to mix and match with your full size and Kadet.  On this corona day, I installed Cajun's 3 piece spring kit in my new to me compact.  That spring kit is definitely worth the $17.  It lightens up the DA some and make both DA and SA feel a little smoother to me.

Was the spring kit hard to install?  Sounds like a big improvement for a small cash outlay.
