Strike One?
« on: April 01, 2020, 06:07:29 PM »
Several of the Arsenal Firearms Strike One pistols have shown up on Gunbroker in the last week or so I guess. Never heard of them before today. I’ve been watching some videos and looking up info online and they seem interesting to me. Anyone own one or familiar with them?

They have been around 7-8 years with a Russian-origin  background. Have seen them but never handled one. The current website includes photos of pistols with what appears to be German-Bulgarian CIP proofs although you’ll also see Italian and Hungarian proofs over the years.

Interestingly, the web site has a link to an “Arsenal Collection, S.R.O.” located in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. That town is popularly known for being a hot springs spa town (a hotel there served as the casino in the last Casino Royale movie) as well as significant Russian presence in business and demographics. Under Arsenal Collection, it states “The new site of Arsenal Firearms for production, R & D and industrialisation of small arms since 2019.” Will this be a future “made in Czech Republic” firearm with Czech proof?

If they are anything like their AKs, I'm sure they must be worth a look.

There are two different companies that have a similar “Arsenal” name globally. The one with the older lineage, “Arsenal JSCo” is Bulgarian and primarily associated with the AK type rifles. The US importer is “Arsenal, Inc.”

The much newer and different “Arsenal Firearms” offering the Strike One and Stryk B pistols has set up a US affiliate using the Archon name to set it apart from the Bulgarian company in the US market.
