p10's are optic ready also. P07 would be nice to have in optic ready configuration.Classic CZ slide is to narrow,it is only about an inch wide and most of the red dots are wider ,you will need to use adapter plate of some kind to mount it.But,new Holosun micro sights will fit CZ slides just perfect.

I guess back in the days, when they had been made, the market for OR Firearms wasn`t as big, as it is now.

I can name 3 custom shops that use their own plates, it's just frustrating that I can't get that from the factory.

I doubt that CZ has any intention of making any changes to the standard 75 series line at this point since they are focusing on the striker fired market now. I'm just glad the metal framed guns are still available as they could have discontinued them like S&W did the 3rd gen line after the M&P series tool off.

Other than the Shadow, I mean.

alot of unspoken reasons for things the way they are.

sometimes it easier to design something into a new toy..  Retrofitting/modding into a old toy can be done.  But it can also open up a can of worms too.  All you are looking at is the consumer point of view.  Its like those people that say "id buy a colt diamondback if they brought it back", but they dont look at the cost and dont think about the cost when making such statements.

Patience is good to have too.

If you feel so strong about having one and if you have some all steel CZs, then take it to a gunsmith doing such work and let him/her do their mojo and see what they say.  It may not cost you a cent to have the upper examined and measured to see if it will work.

CZCustom, Cajun, and Primary Machine all do it, so it's not even a matter of if it can be done.

There’s a shadow 2 OR that has been available outside of the US since last year. It’s the most popular OR gun in IPSC Optic ready division.  The most accepted reason it wasn’t imported and sold in the US was due to its weight.

Up until a month or so ago, USPSA’s Carry Optics division was limited to a weight of 45 oz. The shadow 2 OR version weighs more than that and it’s for that reason most shooters had their shadow 2 slides cut for and optic and lightened. However, USPSA raised the weight limit to 59 oz so now, the shadow 2 OR version is legal in carry optics division. Slide cuts to lighten it is not needed anymore.

Hopefully, CZ-USA starts importing and selling them soon. I know a lot of people will be buying for competition since Carry Optics is now the fastest growing division in USPSA.

Then why not send it to one of them and have the work done?

I did.  I would just rather it come from the factory so I didn't have to deal with the additional time and expense.

Well that fits right in there with me wishing gas was still 34.9 cents a gallon and I could still order a new car with a gas guzzling big block V-8 that gets 7.5 mpg.
Joking aside look at it this way. By using a reputable outfit like CGW, CZ Custom, or Primary Machine you got personalized work done with much greater attention to detail than you will ever get from ANYTHING mass produced. I personally don't mind a bit paying extra for top shelf quality.

I have zero interest in optics on a handgun.

I thought the same thing about having no interest in optics but now I have a couple steel frame CZ's milled for Trijicons and even though neither is in my daily carry repertoire, I love them both and would highly recommend having at least one!

I've used dovetail mounts on 75B, 97B"E", and P-09/07 for years for bullseye and bullseye matches.  Then CGW milled a proper mount on a P-10C before OR was available and I was hooked on OR designs for the P-10F and P-10S.  But I've hesitated milling the slides on the steel guns.  I'm used to them looking weird and out of place with the red dot towering so high above the slide.   :) :)
