TSO won't fire
« on: May 08, 2020, 10:47:43 PM »
I went out for a shooting session this past week with my TSO 9MM. No problems. Cleaned the pistol when I got home, re-assembled it and couldn't release the hammer. Yep, broken trigger return spring. Called CZ, I didn't have the SN with me at the time, so I'll call them again Monday with the SN and they'll send one out. This is a first for me with my CZs. Is this pretty common?

I have not seen much mention of the TRS on the Tac Sport pistols breaking. The CZ 75 variants have been know to break their TRS. The two pistols have different TRS set ups and designs. In a Tac Sport the TRS works as a Trigger Bar Spring as well as a Trigger Return Spring. Good to hear that you have a replacement coming. Edit: It seams that i miss read the post.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I haven't heard much on the durability of the TS trigger return spring.  I have a couple and have already replaced it once when I installed a new trigger.  I'm curious how many rounds you have on your gun?  I was planning to replace it at my next scheduled detail maintenance (~8k) along with recoil spring and possibly the slide stop pin.

Cheers,
Toby

I'd say around 800 rounds and maybe 500 dry fire with snap caps. i was also wondering: are the TRS' all the same weight spring? I asked the gentleman I spoke with at CZ what the weight on this spring is and he said all CZs have the same spring, which works out as I have a spare for my SP-01. The springs I have from CGW are lighter than factory.

Have never seen a TS /TSO trigger spring break . Very little stress on it .

TS spring is different than SP01/75 spring

Yeah I looked on the WWW, two places were out and the 3rd, CZ Parts, wants $18.00 for it. It must install itself.

That was a bad spring unless you somehow damaged/nicked it during reassembly.   It happens with all parts, sometimes you get a dud.

I'm at about 6k on each of my Tso's.

Thanks Toby, after seeing what the spring looks like, I took another look. The spring didn’t break, it slipped off the detent on the trigger bar. I probably sagged something on it when I was cleaning it.@ It’s a pretty precarious setup. I think I need to deepen that decent.

I bent the excess spring leg over to match the contour of the trigger bar.  This will help prevent snags and help keep it on the trigger bar.  This was how mine came from the factory.
