P-10S at 100 yards again, video, good results
« on: May 12, 2020, 04:00:28 PM »
Thunderstorms in the forecast, like sprinkle when I left the house, as expected, no one else wanted to shoot in the rain this morning.  Good, all to myself.  Pulled the P-10S out of the holster, turned on the red dot, and shot 10 rounds, all low, so increased the aim point to target elevation, tried it again, much better, one more adjustment, shot two more 10 round targets.  Packed up the target camera and the targets before the rain hit.  But got soaked loading up!!  All good, was worth it to get some more trigger time at distance with the little gun.  4 minute video will be viewable by 3:15 or so, CDT.

This is fun.  This is not easy.

Yes, I'm going to clean it today.

This was a better progression from target to target than I realized.  First target 4 of 10 on paper, because the aim point was too low.  Second 6 of 10, third 8 of 10, fourth 9 of 10, then rain.  To be honest, that is a better progression than I usually do.  Usually the 2nd or 3rd target is the best.  I think it is because I am a little self conscious on the first target, then I relax when I see that it wasn't too bad and that there is hope for a good target.  Third one is usually pretty good also, then I start overthinking or loose concentration by the time the 4th target comes around.  I usually stop there due to diminishing returns if I keep tossing rounds down range after getting tired or loose focus.  Today was a good day.

Perhaps getting to shoot more often is helping also.

I wonder what a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 CM would be like?  Or just re-barrel my .308 Savage in 6.5 CM?  That may be the ticket.  Anything but 22LR.
