Difficult Slide Problem
« on: June 01, 2020, 02:47:22 PM »
I have a pair of CZ82s that still have their original recoil springs. A growing problem is that chambering a round with my arthritic fingers is increasingly difficult. The resistance in pulling back the slide has become darned near impossible. Every CZ video I see looks like a child could easily rack the slide. This would appear to be simply an overly strong recoil spring, right? If so, what size spring should I be needing. Your welcomed thoughts?

A pure blowback pistol in 9x18mm Mak needs a fairly stout recoil spring when the slide is as light as the vz 82.

Wolff Gunsprings has a calibration pack that might help.

The site says that reduced power springs are unavailable. They're helpful folks; perhaps contact them about it.
