Hello Opah here
Avid Hunter, shooter and fisherman when hunting an d shooting are not available.  Hoping someone could help me we this CZ pistol I have. I am planning on gifting it to my grandson for his first Hunting side arm and is second training pistol, but when I went to find the caliber (did not see the 7.65 stamp at first)  I have yet to find this pistol.

I have had this for a while, never shot it in fact up tell tonight did not know the caliber
Can't seem to get the picture to attach ?
Well maybe this will work, on the Barrel it says:
CZ stamp  C with a v on top,  FSK,  A with // over it,  ZBROJOVKA-PRAHA  7.65 IN A CIRCLE
Maybe someone could help me attach the picture

We really need to see the entire gun (frame, shape of trigger guard, slide, grip, etc.) in order to fully identify.
Also there should be a 2-digit year stamped on the right hand side of the slide.  That also helps in identifcation.

Did you follow the Wikipedia link to see a typical picture of a CZ 27?

Yes I  did, it differs some.  Ill get a full pistol picture and post it Monday
On the Pictures posted if you use the zoom to reduce the picture to 25%
you can see from the hand forward.

CZ VZ 50 born on 1959,  SoSo not so special then ?

Well it will make a very nice back up gun for my grandson while Hunting with me.
think ill get him a underarm holster.

Be advised that the Vz 50/70's don't like to feed the US dimension hollow-point ammo.
Both of mine experience rim lock in the magazine.

Do you have suggestions ?
Brand,  type, bullet ?
A hollow point is preferable, but not if it is going to Jam constantly.
Wouldn't Hurt to try some different brands of Hollow point ?

Now the writing on the Barrel is in Czech, pretty much figured  out in was made in Praha Czech in 1959.
Am I true in saying this is a true Czech CZ VZ 50, not a knock off
