I'm just wondering why someone would prefer an Accu Shadow 2 over the Shadow 2 Orange?  The prices are pretty much the same in today's market. Each one has a decent trigger, but the Shadow 2 Orange is hand fitted and doesn't have that front sight roll pin weak area. It just seems to me that the Shadow 2 Orange is a much better choice.  What am I not seeing?

I will be curious to see the responses to your question.  I am new to the CZ game, and am learning a bit at a time.  My first CZ was a Shadow 2 black/blue which I felt was an awesome pistol.  I then ran across an AccuShadow at my local Sportsman’s Warehouse that eventually followed me home.  Keeping in mind that I don’t shoot competition I find the AccuShadow to be outstanding!  Even if it doesn’t have the very lightest trigger it works very well for me given it’s other qualities.   I will be interested in the opinions of those much more knowledgeable than I am.  If the Shadow 2 Orange is deemed the better pistol, it must really be something!

Availability can ebb and flow with both.  Maybe some don't like the Orange grips or know about the hole.

Man, just checked GB and S2O prices are way down.  Nice deals.

This is a really good point!  I had absolutely no interest in buying another pistol as I had already bought four expensive guns since last Christmas when I ran across the AccuShadow I just bought.  I had little idea what it even was or what work CZ Custom did to the base pistol to make it an AccuShadow.  After doing a bit of research, including on this very site, and checking it out in person I was sold. Had it not been available I would have never considered buying one.  What decision I might have made had the S2O been available, either alone or in the same display case I don't know.

Wasn't the Accushadow 2 available before the S2O was imported? It may be as simple as CZC responding to customer demand before CZ did.
As an aside, I was in a shop yesterday and they had an A01LD in the display case next to an S2O. The A01 was a hundred bucks cheaper than the S2O.

Yes, it was.

The S2O is probably a thing for users outside of the US that want a 1911 style bushing on their S2.

Here in the states we have CZC so there are more options for distributors---both the Accushadow 2 snd S2O are available through CZ-USA.

Then at the consumer level we also have a third option----CZC direct for buying new or sending in a gun for a conversion.  The standard SKU available from CZC has the Zendl fully adjustable rear sight, FYI.
