CZ P01 trigger issues
« on: August 06, 2020, 07:38:00 PM »
Not sure if this is normal.....new CZ guy here  :).
Seem to me the trigger bar or something is catching on the decocker.

Would appreciate is someone can comment.

Thank you.

Don't have a single decocker CZ but that looks absolutely wrong.

That must be a big old sloppy hole in the frame for that decocker to move up and down like that.

Not so much trying to rotate and just moving up and down.  If the decocker guys say, "Yeah, normal," I'll just shake my head and be glad I've a safety guy.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I was thinking the same.
It's a new gun with 100 rounds on it.

It looks like the Sear Pin Retaining Washer may have moved out of place. You can decock the pistol and hold the Decocking lever down. With the decocking lever held down, look to see if the Sear Pin Retaining Washer is in place. If it it is not there, you will see the end of the Sear Cage Pin. If you are not sure, take a picture with the deocking lever held all the way down.

My PCR and 75BD both do this. They have been 110% reliable and never malfunctioned in any way. I've never been concerned about it. Unless some one from CZ actually comes along and says it's a problem I'm not the least bit concerned.

Interesting. I will have to check my SP-10Tac, but I am pretty sure it does not do that.

First let me say I dislike decockers, useless for me.  It appears your at half cock.  My P-01 lever doesn’t move at half cock but does with a double action pull.  Mine moves less than half compared to yours but with a DA pull until the hammer is at half cock.

On another note, manually cocking the hammer to half cock the lever doesn’t move.  From half to full cock the lever does move.  Go figure.

Bumping a little, as if smoothly rotating in a round hole in the frame just slightly larger in diameter than the shaft of the decocker wouldn't bother me so much.

What looks really odd to me is the lateral movement of the decocker.  Not twisting while the shaft turns in place, but what looks like a sizable amount of up/down, or left/right depending on how you look at the picture or the pistol.

Maybe I'm not looking at it right.

Yes, this looks normal, the part is in place. Thank you for the pic. I checked the rest of my decockers (5). Some of the Decocking levers on mine move while pulling through the Double Action and some do not. Yours moves a bit more than any of mine and in a different part of the trigger pull. If the pistol is functioning normally, and the movement is not accompanied by a significant negative effect on the trigger pull i might not worry about it. It may be worth while to send the video to CZ USA and get their take on the situation. They can tell you if this is within range for normal function.

Thx Tok36.
I'll try sending them an email and see if it is within spec....either way, i'm very very happy with my first CZ.
I appreciate you taking the time to help a new guy out.
Cheers!!

I checked out my P01 and PCR and didn't notice any movement in either one of the decockers.

I checked both my Cajunized P01 and my stock SP01 Tactical. Neither one had any such movement like you're seeing. I'll be interested to hear what CZ says when you send them the video.
