It depends for what you’re going to use it for. For me, I can load 23 rounds on my mags with Taran Tactical base pads and Grams spring/follower.

This is the max I can load while still legal for USPSA’s Carry Optics division.

Do you have a website/part # to order the correct springs/followers?  Thanks so very much in advance!

I got my Grams springs and followers from Ben Stoeger Pro Shop:

Hope that helps!

I bought the Mec-Gar +2 mags.  I've found them as cheap as $22 per mag.

Just ordered this gold plated setup from BS-Pro shop... seems expensive for 1 mag $57/ea - not even counting the mag body so we'll see.

1 x CZ Shadow 2 & SP-01 | +5/6 Basepad by Henning
Color Blue
Add Grams Spring with Follower (+$18) Yes

Other fun stuff coming with it!

Booo... more 1st world problems... Ben stoger calld and said the c more site is out of stock, I said "Ohh the blue one, that's fine, I'll take pink I don't care, uglier the better". They are all out of stock sir. 3-4 weeks maybe more. I then tok him I was joking and ordered some more CZ parts.

Now the question is more .355 projectiles or build a 97...

Well....you may not want to buy just one.  I bought 3 so $26 per mag shipped for a 19-round magazine is still a very solid price from what I've seen.  Most places sell the 17-round mags for more than that.  CZ Custom sells the 19-round mag for almost $39 before shipping.

The 19 round mag is just a regular 17 round mag body with a +2 plastic base pad. Since you want high capacity mag, you could have just bought 17 round mags and install +5 base pads from Taran Tactical, Henning or springer precision.

It’ll be more expensive but you’ll have the high capacity you wanted.

Another great place to buy mags are from Greg Cote at gregcotellc.com.

Am I the only one that opens boxes like this:

This is using the stock mag bodies that came with the SP-01. the rear cut of that mag is flat across and more tapered to a point on the mag body. I have 2 of these mags.
24 rounds with this setup . last round is tight. Will most likely download by 1. 21 rounds of the open major rounds. weird.

I also have 2 mecgar 17 rnd mags that are a little differently shaped on the mag body. the cutout is a semicircle on these mags and they have blue followers.
23 rounds will fit in these mags. These mags seem better made, and I prefer them as far as fit and fee., but the triangle design seemed to allow for 1 more round. The last one on this mag is not quite as tight so I'll try 23 on it. 23 rounds of the open major rounds. advantage. There is also some writing in the mag springs that state use with certain type of mags.

You can see the ext. mag springs and followers on the right. These go in with no floorplate in the mag base.
This initial testing is with the minor PF rounds which are standard COAL (I forget ATM).

Dry cycling rounds seems GTG. well see how she runs on the range. They were about $58 each for the upgrades from Ben Stoger pro shop (great folks).

Here’s my shadow 2 milled for a red dot and empty mag with +5 base pad for taran. It also has grams spring and follower and holds 23 rounds reloadable.

It was milked to make the 45 oz weight before it was increased to 59 oz.
