In the old days it wasn't unusual to design or modify guns for a specific purpose, so I could see this being created.
I personally have steered clear of the .22 LR CZs because of the many complaints that I have read about--mainly the Kadets.
I have no issues with .22 LR or .22 WMR and have weapons specifically for those calibers.
I wonder though if this DUO has the same "tight" bore that the modern day CZ .22 LR rifles have?
When I see someone posting here about getting one, I make sure that I point them to the FAQ on the CZUSA website about the bore tolerance being tighter and that to avoid certain ammunition and to use a .17 cleaning rod instead of a generic .22.
