I don't like this news! I think that the lack of competition is going to jack prices as you stated. I also don't want to see our options widdled down as there are a number of competing offerings between Hodgdon and Ramshot/Accurate powders. I'd also hate to see them shutter manufacturing operations in favor of utilizing their best/most efficient manufacturing sites. We need redundancy in supply for when the next major kaboom happens in one of these plants.
How is it that gun industry corporations aren't making ton's of money right now? Remington is getting sold off, this merger is happening? It seems to me that right now everyone in the gun industry should be showing record profits with this crazy election year pandemic induced nonsense?
If Hodgdon ever goes belly up, our ability to reload will too.
