SAR K2 45
« on: October 02, 2020, 04:14:55 PM »
New acquisition, 15 rd cap, came w/ 2 mags. Feels great!! Anyone done any spring jobs or other aftermarket parts. Most SAR triggers feel a little gummy. T I A

I installed a CGW trigger return spring after the original one broke, which slightly lightened the SA, but did nothing to de-gummify the DA.

Congratulations on your new SAR K2-45C and may it serve you well!  8)  :)

If you are looking for parts to customize it, Galloway Precision has some items you might be interested in.  https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=110926.0
Notably, they have +2 Magazine Extensions that boost capacity from 14 rounds to 16 rounds.

I have the Full Sized Black version, bought back in 2013, and it's been a very good Pistol, so far.

Which grip sleeve do you have on your K2?

It is the Uncle Mikes Grip Sleeve.  https://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Mikes-Slip-Pistol-Grip/dp/B003R6U7L6

I think these have been discontinued on the main Uncle Mikes Website.  Another alternative is the Pachmayr Grip Sleeve, but I don't know which one fits.

Got pricing on one of these today. Dealer is listing it as a striker fired gun, that has a hammer duh!
I may go and look at a Tangfo 45 for comparison, but if this is anything close to my P8L it will be a hard choice for 1/2 the money.

I finally had a chance to hold a K2-45c yesterday and it took everything in me to put it down. I found the grip to be just as comfortable as any of my small frame Tanfoglios even though the grip was obviously bigger. The ONLY thing that made me put it down was the $649 price tag. I would’ve paid $500-$550 but not $649. I’ll wait but IT WILL BE MINE, oh yes, IT WILL BE MINE! O0

At that price, I don't blame you for waiting.

Ya, you should look at the buy out prices for it on Gun Broker...not much better. :(  And just when I managed to sell my dad on it because he wants a metal 1911 45 but can't afford them.
