Loaded some new (to me), Dang Good (DG) Bullets

Have been searching hi and low for some 147gr 9mm Bullets, so I can build a cheaper "Range" substitute for the 147gr HydraShok I carry when I'm carrying 9mm
Everyone's either "out of stock" or have a 6-12 week lead-time on shipping ! ! !
From the Cheapo-Cheapos to the High-end FMJ or JHP Bullets
In my search, I came across DG Bullets (Dang Good)
Their Bullets are a 92-6-2 alloy,  coated with Hi-Tek Supercoat:

Last time I tried a sample pack from BBI, the coating had lots of voids. Maybe it was a one off, but it was enough for me not to go back. Incidentally, their website says they've stopped shipping USPS due to scanning issues.

The USPS is have big problems with delivery. Use a provider with anyone BUT the Post Office and you're likely to get your shipment at least several days faster.

Had problems with all of them. 

Anyway, DG is out of stock on what I wanted and even what I was interested in.

BBI had 230 grain .45 bullets in stock so I ordered some of those.

Might be awhile before I can try them though, need to work through what I've got opened up right now first (230 grain LRN from Summers Enterprises - who currently show about everything out of stock).

Didn't need them but said what the heck,stay ahead of the game ! Just ordered 3400 135grn @ .356 ! $216.24 Shipped ! I figured it out to be $6.36 per 100 or $63.60 per 1K ! That's a great deal I think. They are in stock and he is shipping. When I ordered in the past he was very fast,,I'll let ya know how this goes !

I loaded up about 4k worth of DG 9mm 135 RN bullets back in July.  Loaded them with 3.5 and 3.7 grains of Sport Pistol, didnt get a chance to chrono them so no idea on speed.  Anyways, not all impressed.  They leaded my PCR so bad that I couldnt see the rifling after about 3-4 mags.  Same thing with my P09, MP9C and Shield. 

They mic'ed out at .356.  I've used ACME bullets before, 135 RN also mic'ed at .356 with no problems.

Also bought 1k of 40 S&W 180 gr.  The ogive is down inside the case at about 1.125-1.135

Thought they said that the Hi-Tex Coating was suppose to prevent Leading ... not promote it !

It all depends on condition of the coating during the reloading process. If the coating is damaged while reloading, it’ll expose the lead to the hot gases during firing.

Not having enough flare, crooked bullets during the seating process and thin or uneven coating are just some of the reasons for leading in barrels.

I had lead fouling issues with ACME, BBI, Gallant and one or two other brands that I don't recall. This was only with my CZ pistol barrels and was cured when I switched from .356 to .357.

That is interesting,something is off that's for sure. I have loaded/shot thousands of Summers/Gallant's & my buddies powder coated bullets with 0 issues in any of my CZ's. All are sized @ .356. Aside from destroying or totally scrapping off the coating even with a Brinell Hardness of 18 I wouldn't think they would lead even if they were uncoated lead, I never had an issue with my buddies bullets before we started PC them and they were in that same hardness zone. Interesting to say the least.
