slide stuck

I took my new CZ 75 compact to the range for the first time and I had about 30 rounds through it and the slide didn't return all the way and jammed. I took it home and was able to get it working but I'm not sure if it was the ammo ( Fiocchi 115 RN ) or the gun. Has anyone heard of this happening, I was wanting to make this my primary carry but for now I will stick with my sig M11-A1.

Believe it or not, my Semi Compact jammed, in mid recoil, first time out, after only a few Rounds   >:(
Got it home and was able to get it apart
Put everything back together again, but it wouldn't fire  :o
Turned-out, the Firing Pin Block Lifter had broke in the Sear Cage  ???
Whether it broke during recoil and jammed the Slide back
Or it jammed the Slide and I broke it off when I took the Pistol apart .... no telling
Even CZ-KC couldn't figure it out .... or how it could have jammed in the first-place   :-\
Needless to say; they covered the whole thing

Make sure that your Firing Pin Block Lifter Arm is spring loaded and being pulled down and forward rearward.

I really like Tanfoglio's approach to this
It's in "Safe" with everything in the up position
Pull the Trigger, and the Pin Block Spring pushes everything down, into the Fire position
A much smarter design

   I noticed the 1911 FPB lever design going forward recently in an Anvil video. Maybe that is why i got confused.  I need to get a 1911 and so that i can take it apart and get a better look at things. The Tango design that you mention also peeks my interest, i would like to take one of those apart as well.

Looks like a may need to get a bigger safe.  :)
