In the late 00's, I purchased a full size DA/SA 75 SP01 and a factory-threaded Kadet adaptor. From reading here, I think this is a "Kadet 1" but I am not sure. I've recently started shooting both the SP01 and the Kadet more frequently (;D) and I want a dedicated frame for the Kadet.

I don't want a decocker frame and the frame MUST fit the contours of the Kadet perfectly (no protruding rail section like my SP01 frame).

CZ Customs now offers for $475 a "SA Frame Kit" (link below) but only lists compatibility with the Kadet 2.

Is this a good choice for my Kadet? I can't seem to get anyone at CZ Customs to pick up the phone but I've been searching for used 75b frames, finding decocker models only, and am now getting anxious to make a purchase. When I first fitted the Kadet to my SP01 I had to very slightly file the front bit of the Kadet's slide rail (the visibly shiny portion in my photo).

Could anyone advise if this "SA Frame" (https://czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-custom/cz-75-parts-kit-frame.html) would work for my purposes?

It will work. May need a slightly more fitting depend on the tightness of the frame (or not). Kadet kit doesn't have firing ping safety.

The B-SA is a GREAT Host for the KADET
I've run my KADET on my B-SA Frame for years:

Finally got an email response from CZ Custom: "Not sure as we have not had any of the older model Kadets for reference."    ::)

I bought it anyway. Under other circumstances it would probably be a better value to find a used 9mm DA/SA 75 and use the frame while keeping the 9mm slide as a spare. But prices on used handguns are nutty right now.

Well Dude, I doubt that you'll be disappointed

The set-up you see above will shoot groups like this at 25 yards, even with my 60+ year old Eyes

Picked up my SA Frame today and I'm finding that the Kadet magazines won't lock the slide open on empty in the SA Frame. The magazine follower is not engaging the slide stop. I took a picture comparing my frames.

Do I need a special takedown / slide stop for a Kadet slide on the SA frame?

Do you have a PCR slide stop to try?

If you call CZ-USA they will ship you free correct slide stop. Now Kadet kits shipped with two slide stops. One is longer for (PCR).

If this is a Steel B-SA Frame, the PCR Stop will be too long

If you call CZ-USA they will ship you free correct slide stop. Now Kadet kits shipped with two slide stops. One is longer for (PCR).

The Kit should work correctly with the stock, B-SA Slide Stop
The two Stops that came with your new KADET Kit should be a PCR (the longer of the two) and one for a 75B ( did you try this one ? )
My 75B-SA Slide Stop is quite different than the one on a standard 75B .... not sure way

If you did not receive one with your Lower, then YES, CZ-USA will know which Stop is the correct Slide Stop for the B-SA Frame
My B-SA Slide Stop looks just like your "SP-01" Stop
And my old "B" Stop looked like the one you labeled "B-SA"
Looks like someone may have sent you the wrong Slide Stop
Just for Ss and Gs, try your SP-01 Slide Stop in your B-SA / KADET and see what happens

I didn't receive any stop with my Kadet Kit. Purchased ~2006.

Already tried swapping them. No good.

Edit: With the SP-01 stop in the SA frame, it almost sometimes locks back if I make sure the slide stop is already up when I rack it on an empty mag. It seems to engage the magazine better than the SA stop. But the Kadet on the SP-01 frame with the SP-01 stop locks every time.

Yeah, my (original) KADET came fit to my B-SA from CZ-USA, so there was just the one Slide Stop, the one for the B-SA, and it looks just like the one on your SP-01
That Kit, did not lock back on the standard "B" Frame I had for a short time, when using the B's Slide Stop
For the Kit to work correctly, I had to use the Stop from the B-SA
CZ-USA gladly sent me the correct Slide Stop .... gratis

The Slide Stop on the left is the one for my B-SA .... the one on the right is for my old "B" Frame

Not sure why so different
Someone once said of the "B" style Stop; "to accommodate more Bullet Profiles" .... maybe so !

Just fit the Kadet 2 on my 85 Combat. The kit did come with 2 slide stops. Neither of them will lock the slide back. Both are too short to engage the notch on the magazine as show above. But, the original 85 slide stop does lock the slide back. It is longer. So, I ordered a spare 85 combat slide stop. It is too short to engage the mag shelf. I may have someone local tig weld a little more to the stop and file to shape. CZ Custom mention it might have to do with making the length shorter due to using heavier weight bullets needing a shorter leg to eliminate intereference.

In a lot of cases, it has been found that the Slide Stop that came with the Host Frame, works best with the KADET Kit too

Talked to Aaron at CZ today. He consulted a technical guy, they reviewed my pictures, and Aaron responded:

Quote
After speaking with out gunsmiths they said if it were them they would try using this part to resolve your issue. That being said it is hard to tell just based off of a picture so we cannot promise that will resolve it however he believes this is a good place to start.

Here is a link to that part unfortunately, it is out of stock right now but you can use that link to sign up to be notified when It comes back into stock. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

https://shop.cz-usa.com/slide-stop-kadet-22lr0440008001.html

I responded once more to ask if it would be covered under warranty and he said it would not because I am out of the warranty window. So they will not provide me with any alternate slide stops or do any warranty work to fix my issue. All I get is an out-of-stock $34 plus S/H "suggestion" that may or may not solve my problem. Terrible customer service IMO.  >:(
