DenStinnet, please keep us posted.  I picked up a slightly used Kadet 2 a few months ago and have also experienced failure to strip and failure to feed, though not as frequently (maybe 80 to 90% reliability).  I'm using the Norma ammo that many say works well.  The magazines were a bit dirty so recently cleaned them and will see if that helps the failure to strip problems.  Will be interested to see if you get improved results with your work on the rails.

The new Kadet running 100% out of the box would be too easy.  May it give you just the right amount of trouble.  :D

I can't be the only one who got a no-drama Kadet II,  Mine needed no fitting to go on my 75B Omega convertible and has run 100% since the first magazine.  I normally like to tinker but it seems I'm stuck with this.  ;)

My KADET 2 needed just a small amount of fitting, but it does need some (additional) work to get it running 100% with the cheap, Federal Bulk Ammo
I have done a bit more work on it since Christmas, but haven't had the chance to test it

To address the Light Strike issues, I filed a couple thousands more off of the Pin Stop side of the Firing Pin Shoulder, exposing that much more of the Firing Pin to the Hammer
And I knocked a bit more off of the Hard Corner of the Ejector in hopes of solving the Stovepipe issue for good
Then I rounded-off the hard corners of the forward angles of the Trigger Bar Recesses and stoned polished the bottom of each Rail of the Bolt
This significantly smoothed-out the sliding motion of the Bolt, on the Pistol Frame Rails, especially its rearward motion, in hopes of solving the Striping and a few other related issues
Also the Top of the Bolt and the Forward Bolt Guide had a lot of Overspray, which is very gritty, so I cleaned that all up too
Now the Bolt glides quite smoothly when the Kit is loose AND mounted to the Host Frame
I also checked, and the Extractor looks to be as good as it could be
Now to find time for a Hot Test and Sight adjustment
Will report back on that
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !
