There are two main parts to the CGW Short Reset Kit. A modified Firing Pin Block lifter arm and a low lift Firing Pin. The two parts work together to achieve a shorter SA rest distance. The SRK FPB lifter arms lower leg sits further rearward, allowing for it to reset in Single Action without the Trigger Bar / Trigger traveling as far forward. The low lift Firing Pin has a deeper notch, that allows the FPB plunger (in the slide) to function without being raised up as high as the factory configuration. So these parts are accomplishing the same goal with less required travel than the factory configuration.
There is a "Short Reset" Disconector, but it dose not directly influence the SA reset distance. The SRK parts allow the short reset disco to reduce the SA pre travel / SA at rest trigger position. So the SRK alone reduces the SA reset distance but adds to the SA pre travel, then the short reset disco removes some of that SA pre travel.
