SOME Omegas tune to an amazingly smooth DA and I find their SA OTB to be very good. it is true though that if you take time, the 75 lockwork can produce an amazingly smooth and light pull. On some of mine I only use slightly lightened springs and polishing, and the result is amazing. Ill have to try the CGW hammer some day.
Also, the 75 series WITH SAFETY is really not all that much harder to work on than the Omega (IMHO). What makes the 75 series hard is the decocker sear cage, which takes extra patience. But IMHO it is more robust.
The Omega was not designed to operate in the 75 series guns but was adapted to it later. I don't think this is a problem, but we'll see over the long haul. The 75 series action has been used a long time with good results.
