P-07 kadet kit hitting high
« on: December 21, 2020, 01:15:20 AM »
I have tried this off hand and off of a bag.  It hits high with Super X, Aguila super sonic, Minimags, CCI Standard Velocity, Blazer 22, Remington Golden Bullet, and Federal GameShok.  I thought that maybe it was the higher velocity ammo, but have seen the same results with slower stuff.  The further downrange I set the target, the higher the POI.  Has anyone experienced this?  Any suggestions?

Has no one else had this problem?

If you are not using it, try a "Six O-clock" Hold
Some Sights are pre set for a Six O-clock at 25 yards, as some are set-up for a Combat (#2) or a Zero Hold (#3)

If that is no help, you may need a taller Front Sight Blade

Will a lollipop hold bring POI down by 6 inches at 25 yards?

Since, I don't believe the Rear Sights are adjustable, you will have to adjust Your Point of Aim .... lower
If you were using (say) a "Combat" (#2) Hold before, then a "6 O-clock / Lollypop" Hold will move you POI down by that difference

If you end up needing to get a sight, or want to figure how much the sight is off, this calculator might help... http://www.sdmfabricating.com/sightcalc.html
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I checked the CZ catalog, and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation.  I'll try that when I have a chance.

Well, I tried, but it seems to be locktited in and I didn't want to break my allen wrench.

If you're bottomed out on your elevation, and still shooting high, sounds like you may need to look into getting a Higher Front Sight for it
