I went with the B so I'd have the option of converting it to SAO. The transition from the DA pull to SA pull just throws me off too much.

I had the same problem with my Browning BDM, but I somewhat mitigated the issue with a mod that shortened the take-up and over-travel to make it more tolerable. Surprisingly, the BDM mod SA now feels very much like B SA after the conversion.

I think you'll find that to be a wise choice!  I converted mine last spring and I'm not looking back!

HI All -

Well I found a 97BD on gun broker last night - no CC Fee and very reasonable shipping, so I bought it...
I imagine I wont see it for a week or so...

the only fix to make right away is to loktite the screw that holds in the loaded chamber indicator?

Does no one make a lager Mag - 10 rounds is it?

Thanks,
JAG

I purchased a BD and am happy. That being said, I would have been as happy or happier with a B; I am totally comfortable with manually decocking if need be. I know this is somewhat controversial, generally speaking, but to each his own.

Well I got my CZ97 and got it to the range yesterday.
Its is producing very nice groups with 230gr ball - they are quite low.
A friend was shooting some 185s so the last 5 shot were his 185's and I got a really nice group right in the center of the bull...
I was shooting at 30ft just standing - 2 hands.

I am quite pleased with the performance with the 185's - I have to get 230's to hit where I am aiming - i might breakdown and put on an adjustable rear (makes my choice of night sights a waste)...

I see there are some upgrade kits - short trigger reach, short reset, I don't know what else - but it is shooting pretty well out of the box, so no upgrades for now.

I have a Shadow 2 - so making the trigger more like the Shadow 2 would be a good thing.  Lighter/crisper is always a good thing.

Again at the moment I am going to leave it stock, see if I can shoot it better with practice...

I do really like it - and it is just like holding a bigger fatter CZ75.
