After using the auto slide release function, the pistol wouldn't feed and the slide was difficult to remove. I found the back of the slide stop spring had jumped out of it's notch. Put it back in place and it works fine. I probably won't use that function anymore. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.
It was ***NEVER*** “a function”.
Nor was it ever intended to be.
Yes, it can happen but what you experienced can also happen.
Use proper technique and do not rely on this (as you now understand).
