CZ Micro faux suppressor
« on: January 26, 2021, 12:56:36 AM »
Went to range and faux suppressor became loose. Purchased the tool to tighten the castle nut and became loose again after several hundred rounds.Wanted to take off castle nut however  it became tighter as I went other direction. I did not want to continue to remove. Might strip threads. Wanted to add loctite. Any suggestions.

As to removal of the "castle nut". I removed the handguard and secured the handguard mounting base in my bench vice and applied a bit of heat to the "castle nut" with a heat gun to soften up the factory applied thread locker compound. I was then able to gradually work the "castle nut" completely off (loosen then re-tighten, loosen a little further then re-tighten, repeat until it finally works loose).

I also went through the problem of the faux suppressor continually working loose. I initially bought the tool and tightened the snot out of the retainer but the faux suppressor continued to work loose. I eventually took mine off, cleaned off the threads, applied red Locktite and tightened it down with considerable force. That took care of the working loose issue. However I was less than impressed by the lackluster accuracy of my Micro compared to my 7.75in braced pistol. I finally decided to purchase the same KAK Industries, Micro Slimline Flash Can that CZ transition to on the new production Micros. Once I had the Flash Can installed I never had any issues with anything coming loose and my accuracy stabilized into acceptable groups.

I did the exact same thing. Except the first time mine worked its way loose I ditched it. Went with the KAK slimline and groups tightened up noticeably. That faux can is the devil, lol.

Curious how the KAK Micro Slimline Flash Can fits in relation to the end of the handguard on the Micro. I have a Micro and the stupod faux supressor has been a pain in my butt too. Does the flash can reach the end of the handguard or even extend past it by a small bit?

Thanks in advance for any info you can offer!

The KAK Micro Slimline Flash Can extends 5/8ths of an inch past the end of the forend. Here is a link to the CZ USA stock image.

Not only did it improve the accuracy of my Micro but it does 'push' the blast away from the shooter.

I'm wanting to remove the suppressor from my S2 as well.  I have been searching for the HB Industries 10093 tool to remove the faux suppressor, but have come up empty-handed.  That KAK can looks like the way to go.  Anyone willing to lend/sell/meet to help me get the faux suppressor off?  I am located in Western NC.
Thanks.

Hi all. I'm new here and I know this is an old post. However, does anyone whom removed the faux suppressor want to part with it. I'm very interested in acquiring it. Text me at 480-228-2902

I guess my bubble has been burst.  After handling a friend's Evo last night I was going to buy a carbine.  I can't stand the looks of that phony faux can and figured I would just ditch it.  It sounds like more of a PIA than it is worth.  I can't seem to find one with just a regular 16' barrel, but will keep looking.
