I lived in Chile as an expat back in 1995 and had a colleague who used to be a Lt Colonel in the army. Knowing my interest in firearms he took me shooting at an army range, where I had the opportunity to try a full auto FAMAE, very nice gun built locally under a Sig license.
Their issue pistol was the CZ 75, and I asked if I could buy a new one from the army. No problem he said and arranged for the paperwork. I took it back home (Switzerland) when I left Chile. Serial number was Y 3865, built 1994 I think.
Stupidly I sold it to a colleague who kept badgering me, and regretted it for a long time.
But in 2018 I made it right and bought this 1986 pre B CZ 75, made in Csechoslovakia, lightly used but in very good condition, for the equivalent of $ 500.-
I must say the grip is one of the best shape of any pistol for me, and certainly the absolute best of the double stack magazines.

It came in the original box with the manual.

I’ve shot it a few times now, 25 meters off hand

It’s a very nice pistol, very happy with it.
