97 Grips on sale. Are these Micarta?
« on: February 24, 2021, 05:40:58 PM »
Anyone run these grips? Are they Micarta or Plastic? It's kind of hard to tell. looks like micarta, but too cheap to be for sure ($29 from $39). If they are Micarta I'm in.

How do they compare to the LOKs? The stock aluminum flats were too thin, the rubbers feel great, but I might try a pair of the Ovals in red or blue. There are some Large ovals and small ovals.

They have RAMI grips on sale too and some other stuff.

I have a pair of the Rami grips from there and they're G10.

New Grips are GTG!

They are pretty grippy, not quite as grippy as the cheese grater LOKs, Which is just what I was looking for.
Here is the breakdown IMO:
Stock aluminum thins - way too thin, feels like holding a 1x6
Rubber grips - Great fee perfect sizing, comfortable to shoot, maybe not the best for a hot sweaty rangeday
G10 grips, good size, great texture, soft enough for shoulder carry. They don not have a palmswell which would have been a tad nicer.

Will run it for a bit and see how she rubs the ribs. If its worse than now I might run rubber inside / G10 outside.
