Hello friends.
A few questions
Can any of you confirm
this post that the sight screws are hex sized 0.9 mm?
The reddit poster recommended this
tool set for working with the sight screws. Any opinions on the best and best value tools for the job? I won't be doing a ton of gunsmithing, but I want the right tools for the job.
Since my OEM and the new Night Fision screws are both stripped, any advice on the best way to replace both of them? I found this
product listing and
this kit. If the kit (or any other kit) has what I need, the price point is certainly attractive for future spare parts. I am also on the waitlist for the factory spare parts kit, but doubt that will help me any time soon.
Thank you!
Back story:I was excited to start on installing my Night Fision Glow Dome sight set on my P-09 today.

My excitement faded when the hex wrench that came with the set did not fit my OEM front site screw snuggly. At first, I thought the jerky action when rotating was because of some loctite on the threads. But after I got it out, I got a better view and saw that it was actually stripping the screw a bit.
Since it was out, I thought I should be good to go with putting in the Glow Dome sight with the wrench that came in the set. WRONG. I got it in most of the way and then it too, started to strip. I pulled out all my hex wrenches and didn't have a good fit for it. So it's most of the way in and looking beat up.

At this point, I'm hoping to get replacement screws for the front sight and snug in the new sight properly. Then hopefully things go better with the rear sight installation when I get the sight pusher tool I ordered.
