2011 Staccato
« on: April 12, 2021, 01:28:21 AM »
Well, I have been eyeballing one of these for a while and ended up selling a couple of goodies so I could get it. Very happy with it, crazy accurate and a sweet shooting gun for sure! Hey, and it's a 1911 style gun, so what's not to like. I have put a little over 300rds through it this weekend and it ran perfectly. I have a holster on order and should receive it this week. These pic's were from Saturday, I wanted to shoot irons before mounting my RDS on it for today (Sunday). I didn't take a pic of it with the red dot on it but it's a Holosun 507c and it just adds to the awesomeness,LOL ! I'll get more as time goes on. Here are a couple pic's of targets I shot Sunday with the RDS mounted. Some factory & some reloads, one group was very nice as you can see. Groups were shot @ 50Ft @ our indoor range, I would of shot @ 25yrds but rainy today so that will be another time. I brought my CZ P-07 along for comparison & accuracy wise we all know there no slouch but I couldn't get the 07 at good as the one group of 115JHPs but hey that's OK. Hope you enjoy.

10 shots of my reloads,my 07 actually like them better than the 2011,,but I'll mess around and tweak things a bit for that gun anyways.

Final 5 shot group @ 50FT from rest, pretty happy with this one.

Good stuff! I have been curious about these guns as well. How is the grip thickness say compared to the P07? About the same?

Yeeeaa, its close but the Staccato is a bit thicker/wider I would say. About 3/4 inch longer maybe a full inch but it's close. For me, the 07 with the mag in has always felt good but for sure not as filling as the 2011. I have bigger hands so it's not a big deal I guess.

Congrats on 2011 ! Great stuff.

The grip size is the reason I'm not convinced to Staccato double stack.
I own Staccato R and couldn't been happier. Its single stack grip fits me much better than regular 1911. And of course as all other 2011 it shoot incredibly accurate !

I had very similar first shooting impression and experience - I shot it together with my M&P9 and found it quite hard to hit dead center. Different grip, different style, different recoil, different trigger .... everything different...  ;D

Anyway...2011 is a master of shooting  8)

I'd be interested in seeing/shooting a Staccato-R in .45acp

Hard to find them.
They dropped "R" series last year.

Congrats! A nice 2011 will ruin you for other platforms, so easy to shoot them well.

Oh, yea, I was a 1911 guy long before CZ came into my life and this 2011 will make it hard to put down. For me it's a little big for carrying so my 07 will still get that task but for the majority of my shooting especially with warmer weather coming up, the Staccato will be the main attraction for sure! I know we all talk about "never" selling guns but I did sell a few to get this one, plus being behind enemy lines and with the whole Permit/Permission slip from Big Brother letting you own pistols I figured I would weed out a few and bring my numbers down a little, in the handgun dept anyways, LOL I just ordered 3 extra mags also,, ouch,, not cheap but I'm a freak when it comes to extra mags so I'll be getting more as time goes on for sure. I'll get a pic of the gun with the RDS on it this week/weekend and show her off fully set up, plus I should get my holster this week also! Thanks for the compliments guys & more pic's & range trips coming up.  ;)

I have a Trex Ragnarok coming this week. I want something else also & I think a Blackpoint Holster is a good one but need to further research it. Here are some links if your looking.
https://www.trex-arms.com/store/ragnarok/
I have both of these style attachments, one for my HSGI Belt & one for my belt. (High Speed Gear)
https://www.trex-arms.com/store/ragnarok/ Look below the holster & there are ways you attach it depending on your needs & wants.
Here is the Blackpoint, but I'm sure there are others, I would think Safariland has something. Let me know what ya get & how it works out.

Not a bad-looking rig, thanks for the suggestion. I'll do some comparisons!  :)

Very nice!

I still have my 20 yrs old STI 2011 in .40 S&W and 10 yrs old STI Spartan 1911.  They are solid and accurate.
