Finally got my P-09 Kadet out to the range and...
« on: May 28, 2021, 08:20:16 PM »
Couldn't help but wonder, why in the world isn't there a Kadet magazine that holds 30 or more rounds?  It just felt like such a waste to barely tap into the available real estate in the magazine with a measly 10 rounds.  Have any of you heard of a Kadet magazine holding more than 10 rounds?

Aside from that, I had a ton of fun shooting my P-09 .22 lr pistol.  I'll definitely make a habit out of it until ammo prices recede.

Glad that it is working out for you. So the slide operates as usual with the P-09 conversion ?  IIRC, on the 75's only the bolt cycles back and forth .

My guess is, there are so many State with a "max 10" Magazine limit, and CZ doesn't want to add to their inventory
Don't know the "Anatomy" of the P Series Mags, so I can't even offer an Mod to increase the capacity of the OEM 10 Rounders

You may not be able to double/triple stack rimmed ammo inside a big fat magazine and get it to feed.

Even the Black Dog AR15 magazines the size/length of a 30 round .223 magazine hold only 27 rounds.

A lot of .22s are used for target shooting/competition or small game hunting.  Ten round stages.  Unless the squirrels go zombie and swarm you 10 rounds is plenty.  I used to squirrel hunt with my Ruger Mk1 5.5" bull barrel.  I don't remember a morning when I shot more than three times.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Don't do it!  These are the only 2 on the internet (plus one on gunbroker with < a day left iirc) and for good reason!  TNT is a fake company, or one that no longer exists but still takes people's money.  Molonlabe hasn't been reliable at all with people, taking money and no product or delaying orders for forever...  I did in depth google searching on them just a couple days ago myself.  TNT's address doesn't show their business via google.  Lots of complaints online when you search these businesses.

Thank You for the warning.   Easy to get sucked in during the shortages.

I thought you might have worked magic by finding the few that are actually in stock, but I think both of those sites are less than respected and possible scam sites.

Thanks, though!  I was about to get one for my P-07 because I could.

Yes, the whole slide articulates as usual.  It's just a whole lot easier to rack.

I got a stock alert today for the P-07 Kadet adapter at Tin Start Shooting Range.  I don't have any experience with them so do your homework, but they looked legit when I signed up with them.  They're asking over MSRP.  But I'd still get on at this price if I didn't already have one.  Takes about 100 rounds of 9mm to justify the price differential.

This.  Even the 5 and 10 round single stack rifle mags have a curve to them to accommodate the rimfire rounds that isn't practical in a handgun with a straight grip.

Received back in stock notice and ordered a 01618 for my P-09.  They show a 01615 for the P-07 in stock also.
