RAMI back from CGW with red dot
« on: May 31, 2021, 09:50:06 PM »
Hi All,
The RAMI is my first CZ. I just got it back from Cajun Gun Works. I have run 120 rounds of Federal 115 target and 20 rounds of Underwood Extreme Defender through it so far.
The trigger will require some more use to get used to. DA pull is great, reset in 2.8mm, but it needs to pull almost all the 2.8 back before release in SA. A bit different from my SIG P226 RX Legion, that resets in 2.5mm, but hits the wall almost instantly.
Really like my new CZ RAMI and look forward to running it in IDPA!
Cheers, Tony

Nice!!!

I’m hoping I can get them to mill mine for a 507c so I can use the PA ACSS Vulcan reticle with some BUIS. Also hoping they can attach a rail to the dust cover so I can mount a weapons light / laser.

CZ needs to relaunch the Rami with an optics mount and rail - that’s the coming evolution in combat handguns.

Purchased my RAMI from CGW a couple of years ago and a couple of months back, sent it to them for the machining and mounting of a Holosun 507K X2, exactly like the OP.  Got it back with the optic mounted a couple of weeks ago.

The RAMI was tricked out by CGW when I purchased it, so I am very pleased with the pistol now that it has the red dot optic on it.  My RAMI is the safety model, not the decocker version.

Sighted it in at 15 yards yesterday.  Think I am going to like this set-up.

I just got my RAMI back from CGW’s a few days ago, got to the range today, and I got to say, I love this set up with the 507k, an the PRO package installed. A few years ago I had the RAMI, with a Leupold red dot, the Leupold is a good red dot, BUT, it’s really big compared to the 507k. The 507k is a game changer, for small pistol and red dots ! You can’t go wrong with the RAMI an a 507k red dot. Too bad they stopped making it.

Are you able to use the front sight with the built on notch in the 507k as backup sights?

I am the owner of the second  RAMI (safety model) with the Cajun Gun Works mill job and a Holosun 507K X2 mounted.  In my case, the answer is YES.  Works well at 15 yards.

The rear notch could be a bit larger. I am considering putting a white dot directly below it or a line directly below it, like the one that came on my old Burris Fastfire3.
I will do a bit more shooting, but I am also considering if the large front XS sight would be easier to pick up through the window (if not too tall)?
Cheers, Tony

I shot my Rami/RMR in an IDPA Bug match this afternoon. This was my first IDPA match and first time competing with the Rami. Had a blast!

Did you have to mill your footprint with any down angle?

I have a 507K on a dovetail mount and I can only get it to depress enough to zero on the bottom edge of the circle.

Same problem here. After messing around with a few homemade shims, I installed one of ADE’s one degree shims. It zeroes perfectly now.

Yes, should be milled on angle. Who did your milling?

Mine is on the Leopold Delta point mount on a P-01.
