Light Strikes and FTF???
« on: June 12, 2021, 10:27:38 AM »
Hey all,

Been getting out with the Kadet and having a great time.

What I've noticed is that I'm getting light strikes with Eley Club ammo. So, I contacted Cajun Gun Works (my 75B SA was Cajunized by the prior owner) and they recommended changing to an 18# hammer spring (done). After the spring change, I'm still having light strikes with the Eley Club. I'm not competing, so not a huge deal.

Wanting to gain some more knowledge I changed to CCI SV yesterday and had a funny experience. First round would go bang, then the 2nd round would fail to feed. This was a consistent event. Re-rack and then the rest would go just fine. Switched back to the Eley Club and had no FFF but continued the light strike situation maybe 10--15% of the time.

Just seems funny to me. Anyone else having similar issues??

Cheers,
Peter

Go to the Kadet Club section and there is an conversation on reshaping the tip of the firing pin.  Had the same issue and removing just a little of the firing pin tip that hit the case but not the rim fixed issues on two of my Kadets.  Best wishes to you.

Make sure the firing pin hole isn't full of .22 crud and that the firing pin channel is clean.  Acts like the firing pin is sticky and/or gummed up.  I have to take a dental pick to mine every few hundred rounds.
