Brno ZKW 451 No. 1 rifle Some facts
« on: February 04, 2004, 09:26:01 PM »
This rifle was historically seen as the "first sporting rifle" model built by Zbrojovka Brno AS after WW2.

The model designation ZKM 451 indicates it to be a Koucky ( pronounced Koutski) brothers design of 1951 after Fanticek and Josef Koucky

CZ Straconice built a single shot .22 rifle called the CZ242 at the same time. This was a rimfire built on a Split rear bridge Mannlicher action.

Though the ZKM 451 first appeared in 1951 there were pre war sporters already in production in the form of the Models 721 and 722  ( 21H and 22F) as well as the Galas rifle ZG47 designed in 1947 but only built in 1950.

Here is a parts list of the ZKW 451 No. 1 rifle

Good day alffromafrica.

Do you have the history of the Brno ZKK models?
