*sigh* No range time
« on: July 06, 2021, 05:23:06 AM »
New schedule and other changes in the life, I just have not been able to make it to the range in over a month. My P-10S is looking at me very sorrowfully, the P-10C is kind of resigned...and we won't discuss what the BREN 2 had to say...it wasn't printable... :o
I need to get out blasting again...anyone else going through a "dry spell"?

I haven't touched my CZs for over 6 months. No to mention shooting it.

Ya, I let my range badge expire during the "lockdown". Gotta get it renewed.

Anyone using iTarget or similar to keep the rust off? I have one, but haven't gotten in the habit of using it....

The double vision due to my hyperthyroidism has kept me from competition. I still practice by having one eye closed but it’s a lot harder than I thought. However, I shoot better with my left eye being dominant now while being right-handed.

When COVID hit I was going through a dry spell - family, work, etc. Luckily, our “lockdown” lasted, literally, a month - If that! And that was only non essential businesses. As soon as they opened, I started shooting. But then, November came and the ammo prices skyrocketed. And that’s my limitation.

If you have a range that’s open for business, go out and shake that rust off. Even if it’s a one timer.

I’m not the desert rat you are and don’t shoot much during the summer. Use to suck it up and go to one of local indoor ranges once or twice during the summer. This year I’m traveling so no guns for me :(

During the height of the COVID I was working 7 days a week and 14 hour days.  This went on for 5 and a half months.  Great for overtime, but lousy for shooting.  Happy times are here again and trying to get back to at least two matches a month and range time 3 days a week.
Not quite there yet but working on it.

Well since we've been on stage 4 fire restrictions I haven't been able to go out and shoot.   They reduced them to stage 2 restrictions so i can go out and shoot at the pit near my house again.  We have our monthly match Saturday too.

Time to dust off the Tso and get to work.

Our fire restrictions went down - the monsoons are finally back after 2 years of darn near no rain. So, of course the road to the free public range is rather muddy, and with current events I STILL haven't managed to free up an afternoon to go blasting! Soon, my precious, soon....
