I was delayed sending mine in because we had the kung flu come through the house. I hope to get it sent out soon.
Take your time. Don’t want you getting my rifle sick[emoji16]

Got my rifle back from Dan. It’s absolutely fantastic!!  I haven’t put it on the scale yet but the trigger is just like his video, crisp, smooth and no extra travel anywhere. Also, dealing with Dan was a pleasure, he under promises and over delivered. All his time estimates were accurate, he walked me through the shipping process and he communicated with me throughout. Best 300$ I’ve spent on a rifle in awhile

I feel a little less ridiculous setting up my rifle as a suppressed scout now that it has a quality trigger.

So he pulled your barrel and threaded on a lathe?

So if you are going to suppress it, you need to consider the concentricity of the bore.  If it is a Lothar Walther and they are all lathe threaded, maybe you are OK.  If not, you really cannot.

I fire it suppressed just fine. I turned my indexed adapter on the barrel

Really excited for you. If it’s like mine (of course it will be) you’re gonna be very happy to write that check. My dads probably gonna send at least one of his to Dan after shooting mine

Got tracking for it's return trip home. Can't wait! Just have to deal with the fudds at the range griping about "that new fangled semi auto" and "commie guns".

Got the rifle back today and put it back together and want to share my thoughts.

The Samopal service advertises:
1) Reduces long trigger pull (often referred to as a "squishy" trigger pull).
2) Decreases overtravel.
3) Shortens length of reset.

It seems to have gotten rid of most of the "squishy" trigger. That was definitely a complaint with my original trigger.
I like the overtravel stop. That works well and helps to make the trigger feel more crisp.
I don't remember my reset length being something I noticed, or cared about. Shooting fast, I don't really notice reset.

Like an idiot, I didn't measure the "before" trigger weight. It varies between 5 and 5.5 pounds now on my RCBS trigger gauge. To be fair, there isn't any mention of trigger weight reduction and (THIS IS NOT A KNOCK AGAINST DAN OR HIS WORK!!!!!) I did not proceed with this service expecting that. I would not recommend this trigger work if you are looking for a match trigger, but like I mentioned, there is not promise of this on their webpage. This does not get you into SSA-E territory, but it does create a great fighting rifle trigger. If you currently have a terrible trigger, this would most likely make you very happy. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. For a forever gun, or trying to get the most out of a rifle you plan to compete with or just shoot a lot, it would be a good upgrade.

Once the weather gets nicer, I'll try to get out and run it. If I remember, I'll post my thoughts.

I just checked my pull weight, mines at 4.8# pretty consistently. You’re definitely right, it’s not a crazy match trigger. The difference in reset is exceptional, I didn’t measure but I dry fired 20-30 times before I sent it. Imo, it’s a perfect trigger for the VZ, at least for me. I shoot it a lot, suppresses and noisy, regularly carry it in a vehicle and wouldn’t be against grabbing it in a zombie situation.
