Samopal USA trigger upgrade

Found a gunsmith in the US that does VZ trigger upgrades, turns out its Dan Brown from Czechpoint.
Anyone here have tried getting this upgrade?
The overtravel adjustment screw seems straight forward, curious to know what reduces the pull length safely.

I don’t  know but I can tell you that Dan knows his stuff and will communicate well with you.  He’s doing some pin and weld work for me now.

That looks pretty bleep cool and looks like it eliminates my chief complaint about the VZ58 - the squishy trigger pull.

Kind of pricy, though, at 300 bones.

Anyone who’s had this done, please let us know how you like it!

You can do your own over-travel stop.  ForcedMarch used to offer for about 1/2 that (check stickies) but requires folks to send who rifles now after some reliability/safety issues with just trigger pack.  The Zendl disconnector/gremlin buster is also supposed to result in improved trigger pull, but I haven't tried.  The take-up is entirely to do with the disconnector and sear engagement/space between the disconector nub and the sear leg.  Easiest would be to adhere shims to sear until you're happy and then have single shim permanently attached...  Polishing/adjusting sear and striker interface and sear leaf spring is primary determinant of trigger pull.

Of course all of this is potentially dangerous, so would make any modifications to spare parts or have spares on hand before diving in...

IIRC, the CNCW/Bonesteel steel trigger group also advertises some improvement on take-up and over-travel.

^ Yeah, I don’t think I’d trust myself to do any trigger work - best left to the pros in my case!

Certainly don't blame you.  Knowing your limits is important.

But also important to know how the firing mechanism works, even if you don't personally mess w/ it.

I’m definitely interested if anyone has had this trigger work done. Especially the logistics (I’ve never sent a firearm for work) and the reliability

I am too. I was instructed to wait till 11/10 before he’ll be taking new work. That was only an estimate but I’m gonna try to fill out the paperwork on the 10th

Dan has my rifle. Now for the hard part, acting like an adult and not pestering him every 10 minutes [emoji16]

I was delayed sending mine in because we had the kung flu come through the house. I hope to get it sent out soon.
