Gotta ASK / CZ USA
« on: July 28, 2021, 12:22:59 PM »
Hi all, a friend of mine new to handguns, ordered 2 new CZ pistols from CZ USA,  they cleared customs in CA however, they never arrived to FFL.  Upon inquiry, it was reported guns were stopped in Iowa somewhere- pending firearm stamps and BITCOIN payment! what the heck.

He has had no response from CZ USA- and they are unable to provide serial number for the pistols. Again, what the heck? He cannot report to FBI or ATF w/out serial numbers.

Anybody else had that experience? any feedback please would be helpful.

Thanks

He was scammed. Bitcoin payment should have been a HUGE warning sign.

The Bitcoin bit came later AFTER he had paid via Zelle and guns in country. Just really strange that CZ USA seems to be possible connected or certainly very non customer service focused.

CZ USA does not sell guns to consumers, only to distributors and dealers. Sounds like a scam.

This has nothing to do with CZ-USA, or any CZ entity. He got scammed by a fraudulent website.

www.cz-usa.com is  the official website. I GUARANTEE he did not go there, order guns, and pay with Zelle.

welcome,

you may want to keep in mind that many people are not vetted on boards.

but instead of wasting time on here, i would have your friend do the talking with CZ or whoever.

they can also get their states attorney general involved and maybe their bank.

good luck

Take a look at the CZ-USA front page on their website:

Quote
CZ-USA does NOT sell firearms directly to consumers online,
instead selling our products through an Authorized Dealer network as well as to major wholesale distributors that work with all other FFL dealers. Our authorized dealers can be found here or call us at 1-800-955-4486. Please use caution when giving personal payment information online.

Your friend was victim of a scam. There never were any guns coming to him, and he'll never see any guns or money back. Tough break.

(No need for CZ firearms to clear customs individually, they are imported in bulk by CZ-USA and then sent out through their distributor network.)

The URL web site   https://czgunstore.com   is generally considered to be a scam set up. I've never dealt with them so can't comment personally. They are not associated with CZ-USA. The scams been run before under rugergunstore, winchestergunstore ect..

Np. That site is a straight up fraudulent scam. If he paid by credit card and has not already done so tell your friend to cancel that card ASAP.

handgun2, Sorry but I don't think this is going to have a happy ending. I feel for your friend, hopefully it doesn't ruin his out look on the shooting sports.

even the tab on my web browser reads CZ-USA for this website? Why doesn't someone shut them down if it's known to be fraudulent?

It will be eventually, stuff like that just takes time. And even after this person (or people) get all these www.*manufacturer*gunstore.com addresses shut down you can be assured some new www.*manufacturer*gunshop.com or some other variation will pop up.
