Very happy I saw a link to this thread in another chain. I was very close to pulling the trigger (no pun intended) on a 75D PCR since they had it listed for $595. Plus I asked them how many mags it came with since these normally come with two, and they replied it comes with one mag. So I thought that could be impacting a lower price, but it didn't make sense a new gun would have just one. I knew they are typically $650 to $700, so it had a little bit of a "too good to be true" feel for it, so I thought I would search some threads and found this...and glad I did....

A friend ordered thru them. I am unsure if he paid by CC or Zelle them cash. In the last few minutes I got a notification from Grab a Gun that the p-10cOR is available somewhere, it is sold already. I found one back in December and bought right away. I don't need one, friend wants one. He is such an indecisive putz at times, he hesitated and it is gone.

He tried doing the Zelle on the scam, did not have the account set up at bank. Hopefully the bank did NOT let the transaction go thru so he may not have lost any money.

Yeah, any online vendor who won’t take credit cards and insists on zelle, Bitcoin, etc. is a scam.

even the tab on my web browser reads CZ-USA for this website? Why doesn't someone shut them down if it's known to be fraudulent?
Who might that "someone" be.

Tabs and whatever name they may happen to exhibit mean absolutely zilch.

Please, I implore you, I implore everyone, pretty please with sugar on top: Be advised the internet in general is a target-rich environment for scam artists all over the globe. The operator of the website in question almost certainly lies beyond the reach of any law enforcement agency anywhere. The money they collect in untraceable bitcoin or whatever is almost certainly used to finance international terrorism, illegal drugs, human trafficking, no end of other horribles etcetera ad infinitum. Where else do you think they get the money from if not a nearly infinite worldwide supply of gullible individuals, and the US is by far the richest source of them.

Realizing that it's easy for me to say, if one were to inspect the website you will find absolutely no indication whatsoever as to any relationship with CZ-USA. Worse, no physical address or even a phone number where a human being might actually reside. As such it should be regarded as untrustworthy on its face. Forget about buyer beware. Start with browser beware.

Again, it's easy for me to say, but people get scammed like this all the time. Personally I place blame squarely on one extremely popular search engine that I refuse to name but is often characterized as being "your friend." It is NOT your friend.

Not sure if anyone has seen it yet or posted about this but I just stumbled upon the Dan Wesson firearms store while searching for some other products. https://danwessonfirearmstore.com
Clearly this is another scam site as they only show accepted payments through zelle and bitcoin. Be careful out there people the school of sharks is growing.

There are scam websites like that for other firearms brands.  Not accepting credit cards should set off your alarms.  Once you send money with Zelle, it is gone, like mailing cash.

danwessonfirearmstore dot com and czgunstore dot com both resolve to the same IP address. I.e. they are run by the same scammer. They have a working fraud template, so probably will keep rolling out sites mimicking official firearm brand stores. I looked up other sites with the same IP, and winchestergunstore dot com, springfieldgunsusa dot com, onlinegunbroker dot com, and mossberggunshop dot com, expressammo dot com are all clone scam sites using the same IP address. Sites are hosted at Namecheap.

If anyone knows anyone at CZ or any of the above firearms companies, one DMCA request could probably get them all taken down (for a while, until the scammer found a new host). I've emailed Namecheap, but might take a request from someone at one of the companies to do something.

With a little bit of detective work, its easy to spot most of these scams. Here in TN we have a local gun selling site called GOC, or Gun Owners Club. TN and KY. Last week I saw a great price on a gun and sent a message. They tell me they have stores in TX and FL. When you go on the site and put a gun in your basket there is no mention of needing an FFL. Big flag right there. So I google mapped the 2 addresses and guess what? One was a restaurant and the other a Goodwill store.

The same scam set up is also being run as an ammo seller. So if you see ammo being listed that no one else has or at a very reasonable price look at the seller very carefully.

Excellent advice.

Since this thread I have become unfortunately familiar with a number of equally fraudulent websites, this time ones selling reloading components that have recently become extremely scarce and extremely expensive. These scams are proliferating at an alarming rate. Some intelligent people I know have been taken in by these scams. Fraudulent websites are very easy to create.

Please pay attention to the stickies on top of these pages:

INTERNET SCAM: CZ Gunstore
Zelle & Venmo only ads

A common and easily noticeable scam characteristic is demand for untraceable payment methods such as Venmo, Zelle, and Bitcon. Other, similarly untraceable forms of payment are likely to exist now or in the future. Honorable sellers accept common credit cards.

DO NOT USE G**GLE. End of story. Full stop.

And, in case I wasn't clear, DO NOT USE G**GLE.

Hi all, a friend of mine new to handguns, ordered 2 new CZ pistols from CZ USA,  they cleared customs in CA however, they never arrived to FFL.  Upon inquiry, it was reported guns were stopped in Iowa somewhere- pending firearm stamps and BITCOIN payment! what the heck.

He has had no reponse from CZ USA- and they are unable to provide serial number for the pistols. Again, what the heck? he cannot report to FBI or ATF w/out serial numbers.

anybody else had that expierience? any feedback please would be helpful.

thanks,

Have him report the website here. Not sure it will help, but cant hurt.

Thats going on here in Texas as well. We have a website called Texas Gun Trader and there are tons of scammers on it. You can tell most by the Profile Start Date that is within a couple days. They get reported as a scam and they just create another account. Locations are usualy blank and prices are too good to be true.
